Our Story

In the fall of 2016, we sensed a profound calling from God, an invitation to step into something greater than ourselves. It was a season marked by prayer, discernment, and faith as three distinct congregations in the Federal Way area, FFPC English Ministry, Light Community Church, and Compass Community Church, began to dream about what could be possible together. Though each church had its own story, strengths, and culture, we shared a common longing: to be a Christ-centered community that lived out the gospel in deeper and wider ways.

On January 1, 2017, that vision became reality as we officially became Cross Life Community Church. What began as a bold step of unity turned into a beautiful testimony of God's faithfulness. We didn't just merge churches, we became one family.

Our diversity in age, background, and life experience became a gift rather than a barrier. Instead of dividing us, it enriched us. From young children to grandparents, from new believers to seasoned saints, we discovered the strength and joy that comes from being a truly multi-generational and multi-cultural community. This diversity has empowered us to serve one another more effectively and reach out to our surrounding community with greater compassion, understanding, and relevance.

Today, Cross Life Community Church is a place where people of all ages and walks of life can find a spiritual home. It's a place to grow in faith, to be transformed by the love of Christ, and to join in God's mission to bring wholeness and hope to the world. What God began in 2016 continues to unfold, and we move forward together, anchored in His Word, surprised by His grace, and committed to welcoming others into the journey of becoming whole in Christ.
